The official parish work at Vyasarpadi started on Feb.2, 1965 by Fr.Mantovani, the very first Parish Priest. The church of our Lady of Consolation as it is called, now has 4 sub-stations with 42 Anbiams. Presently there are 1700 families with 5600 members. Majority of the people are very poor. The parish activities include parish council, Vincent De Paul Society, Legion of Mary, Charismatic Prayer Group, Children’s Catechism, and House Visits. Efforts are made to help the people pray and to lead a good Christian life.
